Wide Beer Bottle Glass Bowl on Wood

This is a wide decorative bowl made from recycled beer bottle glass, hand-blown and fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese wood for a striking organic centrepiece.

Each bowl begins with salvaged beer bottles, melted down and gently relaxed by hand over a piece of reclaimed gamal wood so the molten glass settles into the natural grain and contours of the timber. The result is a biophilic, sustainable piece where no two are ever quite alike, shaped by the glassblower and the wood rather than a mould.

Good to know

Is each bowl unique? Yes. Every bowl is individually handmade, so the glass colour, flow and the shape and grain of the wood differ from piece to piece.

Is it really made from recycled glass? Yes. The glass is made from salvaged beer bottles, fused over reclaimed Balinese wood, so it is both recycled and sustainable.

How do I clean it? Wipe the glass with a soft, damp cloth and dry the wood promptly. Avoid soaking the timber and do not put it in the dishwasher.
