More about wax burners

A warm home for your wax melts

Our pebble burners are rounded ceramic burners with a shallow dish on top and an opening below for an ordinary tealight. Choose the speckled off-white glaze in two sizes or the matt black finish, drop one or two cubes of a crystal wax melt into the dish, and light the tealight underneath. As the wax warms it releases its fragrance, and in our crystal melts the gemstone chips appear in the pool.

When you have finished, blow out the tealight and let the wax cool and set before you lift it out and add fresh cubes. Our guide to cleaning a wax melt burner shows three easy ways, and if you are weighing a tealight burner against an electric one, see electric vs tealight warmers. A burner and a few bars make an easy gift, and three or more wax melt bars are 10% off, taken off automatically in your basket. Good to know

Questions, answered

What do I use a pebble burner for?

Wax melts. Place one or two cubes of a wax melt in the dish on top and an unscented tealight in the opening below, then light the tealight. Never add water, and never put wax directly on a flame.

Are wax melts or tealights included?

No, the burner is sold on its own. Our crystal wax melts are £3.50 a bar, and three or more bars are 10% off, taken off automatically in your basket.

How do I change the wax?

Blow out the tealight and let the wax cool and set completely. It should then lift out of the dish in one piece. If it sticks, a short spell in the freezer once the burner is cold usually helps it release. Then add fresh cubes.

How do I use a burner safely?

Never leave a lit burner unattended, and keep it away from children, pets, curtains and anything that can catch fire. Stand it on a flat, heat-resistant surface, as the ceramic gets hot, and let it cool completely before moving it.

Do they make a good gift?

A burner with two or three bars of crystal wax melt makes an easy gift for anyone who loves a scented home, and the gemstone chips in the melts can be rinsed and kept once the fragrance fades.
