This is a large molten glass on wood bowl, a decorative bowl made from hand-blown recycled glass fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese gamal wood.
Each piece is crafted by hand: molten recycled glass is poured and gently relaxed over a hand-selected offcut of reclaimed wood, so the glass settles into the timber's natural contours. The result is an organic, biophilic object that is genuinely one of a kind, with no two bowls sharing the same shape, colour pooling or grain.

Materials

Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
