This is a large wide decorative bowl made from hand-blown recycled glass fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese wood, a striking centrepiece in the molten glass on wood style.
Each bowl begins as recycled beer-bottle glass, melted and gently blown by hand so the molten glass relaxes and flows over a piece of reclaimed gamal wood. The glass and the timber settle into their own natural shape as they cool, which means no two pieces are ever the same.
