Molten Glass Sweet Bowl on Wood

This molten glass on wood bowl is a decorative dish made from hand-blown recycled glass fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese gamal wood, a sculptural piece for displaying trinkets, whole fruit or simply as a standalone centrepiece.

Each bowl is shaped entirely by hand. Molten recycled glass is blown and then relaxed over a section of reclaimed gamal wood, so the glass settles into the natural grain and contours of the timber. The result is a biophilic object where earthy wood meets fluid, glossy glass. Because every piece is individually crafted from reclaimed materials, no two are exactly alike, making each one genuinely one of a kind.
