Every Molten Root piece begins as waste glass and forgotten wood, and ends as something worth keeping for years.

Tableware with a backstory: jugs, tumblers and serving pieces hand-blown from recycled glass and set over reclaimed Balinese wood. These are the pieces that work hardest at Molten Root, pouring water at dinner, holding sweets on the sideboard, then earning compliments in between.

Everything here is hand wash only to protect the timber, and each piece varies a little because it is made by hand. The care guide covers everything you need to keep them at their best.

Is the tableware safe for everyday use?

Yes. Jugs, tumblers and serving pieces are made to be used. Hand wash only, and keep the reclaimed wood elements dry to protect the timber.

Can the pieces go in the dishwasher?

No. Dishwashers are too harsh for hand-blown glass fused to wood. A quick hand wash in warm water keeps every piece at its best.

What counts as tableware here?

Water jugs, tumblers, serving bowls and pieces that work on a laid table, all hand-blown from recycled glass over reclaimed Balinese wood.

Will my piece match the photos exactly?

Closely but not exactly: each piece is hand-blown, so colour, shape and grain vary slightly. That variation is what makes yours one of a kind.
