This is a medium molten glass on wood bowl, a decorative dish made from hand-blown recycled glass fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese wood, finished on its own matching wooden stand.
Each bowl is made by hand: molten recycled glass is gently blown and allowed to relax into the natural contours of a piece of reclaimed gamal wood, so the glass and timber fuse into one organic, biophilic form. Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
