This is a medium molten glass on wood bowl, a decorative dish made from hand-blown recycled glass fused over a reclaimed piece of Balinese gamal wood, finished on its own natural wood stand.
Each bowl is made by hand in Bali using traditional techniques. The glass is hand-blown and, while still hot, relaxed over a piece of gamal root so it hardens into the exact shape of the timber for a perfect, organic fit. Because it is crafted from recycled glass and reclaimed wood, every piece is one of a kind and a genuinely sustainable work of natural art. No two are ever quite the same.

Materials
Recycled glass, including rescued beer bottles, hand-blown and fused onto reclaimed Balinese gamal wood. Every piece is made to order, so small variations in colour, shape and grain are natural and part of its character.
Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
