Small Molten Glass Tank on Wood

This is a small molten glass on wood tank: a straight-sided, rectangular vessel of hand-blown recycled glass fused onto a gnarled piece of Balinese gamal wood. Use it as a ring and trinket dish, or as a tiny terrarium for an air plant or a cutting.

Each piece is made by hand in Bali. Molten recycled glass is blown and relaxed over the gamal wood, so the base of the glass settles into the grain and knots of the timber. No two are ever quite the same, so yours will be one of a kind.

Do I get one or several? One. Some photographs show two or three side by side to show how each piece varies.

Is each one unique? Yes. Every piece is handmade, so the glass colour, bubbles, shape and the wood grain will differ from the photographs.

Is the glass really recycled? Yes. It is hand-blown from recycled glass.

How do I clean it? Wipe the glass with a soft, damp cloth and dry it gently. Avoid soaking, harsh chemicals and the dishwasher to protect the natural wood.
