This molten glass on wood water jug is a hand-blown recycled glass vessel fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese gamal wood, ready to pour water, juice or chilled wine while doubling as a sculptural centrepiece.
Each jug is made by hand in Bali. Molten recycled glass is hand-blown and, while still hot, relaxed over a piece of reclaimed gamal root so it hardens to the natural shape of the timber for a perfect, organic fit. Because the wood grain and glass flow are never the same twice, every piece is genuinely one of a kind and quietly sustainable.

Materials

Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
