Hanging Molten Glass Vase on Wood

This is a hanging art vase made from hand-blown recycled glass fused over a piece of reclaimed Balinese gamal wood, a sculptural molten glass on wood vase that holds a single stem, a few flowers or a trailing plant cutting.

Each piece is made entirely by hand. Molten recycled glass is blown and allowed to relax into the natural hollows of salvaged gamal wood, so the glass and timber lock together in a way that is never quite the same twice. The result is biophilic, organic and one of a kind, bringing the earthy character of reclaimed wood together with the clean glow of recycled glass. Because it is handcrafted from reclaimed materials, it is a genuinely sustainable choice.

Features

• Material: hand-blown recycled glass set over reclaimed Balinese gamal wood.
• Function: an art vase for a single stem, cut flowers, a trailing cutting or a small water propagation display.
• One of a kind: shape, size, colour tone and wood grain vary from piece to piece.
• Handmade character: small bubbles, light surface marks and slight variations in the glass are natural to the process, not flaws.
• Designed to hang or rest, showing off the wood and glass from every angle.

Ways to style it

• As a sculptural centrepiece on a console, shelf or mantel.
• As a living vase for a single trailing plant cutting or propagation stem.
• On a dining or side table with a few seasonal flowers.
• In a biophilic, plant-filled corner or by a sunlit window where the glass catches the light.
• As a thoughtful housewarming, wedding or birthday gift for lovers of natural, handcrafted decor.

Good to know

Is each vase unique? Yes. Every piece is shaped by hand over a one-off piece of reclaimed wood, so no two are identical in form, colour or grain.

Is it really recycled glass? Yes. The glass is recycled and hand-blown, and the wood is reclaimed Balinese gamal, making each vase a sustainable, low-waste piece.

How do I clean it? Wipe the glass with a soft, damp cloth and dry the wood gently. Avoid harsh chemicals, dishwashers and prolonged soaking to protect the natural timber.
