This is a large molten glass on wood bowl, a hand-blown recycled glass bowl fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese gamal wood for a natural, sculptural finish.
Each piece is crafted by hand in Bali using traditional methods. While the recycled glass is still hot, it is relaxed over a section of reclaimed gamal root so the glass hardens to the exact contours of the timber, giving a flawless, organic fit. Because the wood grain and glass flow differently every time, every bowl is genuinely one of a kind, a biophilic, sustainable work of art that brings the outside in.

Materials
Recycled glass, including rescued beer bottles, hand-blown and fused onto reclaimed Balinese gamal wood. Every piece is made to order, so small variations in colour, shape and grain are natural and part of its character.
Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
