This is a handcrafted molten glass on wood tank: a crackled, hand-blown recycled glass vessel fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese gamal root wood, ideal as a small terrarium, table aquarium or sculptural centrepiece.
Each tank is made by Balinese artisans who blow molten recycled glass and relax it by hand over a single piece of reclaimed gamal wood, so the hot glass settles into the natural contours of the timber to form a seamless bond. The crackled finish catches the light from every angle. Because it is shaped by hand from reclaimed materials, no two pieces are ever the same, making each one genuinely one of a kind.

Materials
Recycled glass, including rescued beer bottles, hand-blown and fused onto reclaimed Balinese gamal wood. Every piece is made to order, so small variations in colour, shape and grain are natural and part of its character.
Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
