This large molten glass on wood vase is a hand-blown recycled glass vessel fused onto a base of reclaimed Balinese gamal wood, doubling as an open terrarium jar for plants or cut stems.
Each piece is made by Balinese artisans who blow molten recycled glass and relax it directly over a section of reclaimed gamal root wood, so the glass flows into the timber's natural contours and sets in a seamless union. Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
