This is a large molten glass on wood bowl, a decorative bowl made from hand-blown recycled glass fused over a base of reclaimed Balinese wood.
Each piece is crafted by hand: molten recycled glass is gently blown and left to relax over a section of reclaimed gamal wood, so the glass settles naturally into the grain and edges of the timber. The result is a sculptural, biophilic bowl where no two are ever the same, made sustainably from materials that would otherwise go to waste.

Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
