This is a small molten glass on wood bowl, a decorative dish made from hand-blown recycled glass fused over a reclaimed Balinese wood base.
Each piece is crafted by hand in Bali, where molten recycled glass is gently relaxed over a stand of reclaimed gamal wood so the glass pools and settles into the natural grain. The glass and wood meld together as the glass cools, creating an organic, biophilic form. Because it is handmade from recycled materials, every bowl is genuinely one of a kind, with its own colour, shape and character.

Care
Hand wash only with warm water and a soft cloth, then dry straight away. Do not put any piece in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving it in standing water, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour. A little food-safe oil now and then keeps the wood looking its best.
